It’s been a long time since my last post. I have recently submitted my game around Halloween for two game jams: SCREAM JAM 2020 and 32-bit Jam. My game is called Purgetory (I should’ve correctly spelled Purgatory).
I originally had an entirely different plan for this game overall. Unfortunately, tight time constraints forced me to go for something very simple. If I had more time, I would’ve done something very different for this game.
Hi people! It’s been a while since I have published my last post to my blog! Anyway, I recently participated in this year’s summer UE4 jam, which is the first time I used Unreal Engine 4 for game jam. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to submit my entry on time before the deadline, due to technical issues on my end. However, I uploaded whatever I could get done to my itch.io account anyway. The initial prototype only has the main menu and one small arena level with non-functional AI. I plan to continue working on it post-jam for learning purposes.
In case many of you who didn’t know, I have recently released my latest game called See Nothing. It is an Enemy Zero-inspired shooter with PS1-style graphics. You can get the game now at https://animegeek32.itch.io/see-nothing! Your contribution would greatly support me and my game development career!
I haven’t wrote my blog posts in a while, particularly due to lack of security on my old hosting account. I have recently changed the hosting site so I can add a free SSL certificate to my site. With that, I can be comfortable logging in to my site securely. The transfer is mostly complete. I’m still waiting for the last part, which I’ve read it could days, so I’m using another way to deal with it for now. More info coming soon!
2017 is the year I participated in Train Jam for the first time. In case you don’t know what Train Jam is, it is game jam that takes place on a train from Chicago to San Francisco (for GDC). Here are my photos:
